Okay girlies, this is a short one but over all of the years that I've been here I've heard this phrase more than any other: "No way this is going to fit" almost always followed by "OMG it's perfect!" after seeing their most snatched self. If you’ve ever worn a faja, you know it’s not just getting dressed, it can be an emotional journey. So I thought it'd be fun to outline here what I call The 7 Stages of Putting on a Faja.
1. The Optimism Stage
You hold it up and think, “Ain't no way”, but you tell yourself you got this and dive foot first.
2. The Wiggle Stage
One leg in. Then the other. Now the shimmy, the squat, the hop. Let's be real it’s basically cardio at this point.
3. The Hook Struggle Stage
Hook one… hook two… wait, why is hook three harder than the first two combined?!
4. The Break Stage
You pause, hands on hips, maybe have a sip of water, questioning your life choices. "No way this is going to fit", but you push through anyway!
5. The Victory Stage
The last hook snaps shut and you instantly feel like you deserve a trophy.
6. The Transformation Stage
You look in the mirror. “DAYUM!”
7. The Confidence Stage
You strut out the door, feeling like the main character from your favorite novela.
Sure, putting on a faja is a workout, but the payoff? Totally worth it. Snatched, sculpted, and ready to slayyyy.
